Its an ok place to eat

Great Japanese and Korean food, excellent service and very fast

Not bad for where you’re at!

Everything is relative. If you judge this restaurant by normal standards, you could do better. However, judging based on Utqiagvik's standards then this is a top restaurant. The lunch special is $17 and the teriyaki chicken was such a small portion it felt like only half of a breast. But the flavor was spot on.Considering the location, it's a blessing to eat authentic Korean and pseudo Japanese food.

Osaka is a town in Japan, of course, you know that. And the onwer of this cozy little restaurant is definitely a Japanese man or a man with Japanese roots, but don't let that stop you from visiting this restaurant, even if you aren't big on Japanese cuisine. This place offers a variety of options, even if you're someone whose looking for vegetarian options. The prices are, of course, steep but that's because this is Barrow.

It was several years ago when I traveled to Barrow. The restaurant was right across the street from my hotel. There was no choice but to eat there. To my surprise, not bad. And the price was reasonable in Barrow. I still remember it very well years later.

Best sushi in Barrow.

The food was great. Prices high. Interior not too appealing but all places up here are like that so do not hold that against them. I had enough to take home and it still tasted great the next day.

Great Chinese restaurant, love the food there..

I hate to be negative, but this was the worst excuse for food in Barrow that I experienced on my last visit. I went twice to give them the benefit of the doubt. I had one of their lunch specials...Pork Katsu. Somewhere in the neighborhood of $15, and was literally a heated up frozen breaded pork patty with barbecue sauce on it, and it also came with cooked white rice...nothing on it. How is this food, much less for $15? Tried their Kung Pap later. Also disappointing, but less so. No motivation to go back.

A good Asian restaurant to eat at on the North Slope. I like their menu and all the food available to eat. A cozy moms n pops spot and you are always welcomed. I like their noodles and chicken teriyaki.

The sushi is fresh made to order and delicious!!

Walking in to the tiny restaurant out of the howling icy wind.....the glow of the Christmas lights caught my attention...a homey feeling came over me....as I sat down I was met with kind faces and warm soup. The food was delicious. I said could I have a California roll...and the man behind the sushi counter said " why don't you try something else...Osake roll?" I said ok...sure why not. Could you put eggs on it? He smiled. In a few moments I had in front a me a beautiful roll. One that I would soon be calling my favorite food ever. Just being here a short time. Greeted with smiles every time I walk in...they call me by name...they know what I like and I call them friend. Always a special experience. I found a home for away from Florida in this icy tundra. Osaka....💖

Fast food service

Not sure what the map showed previously, but it is showing the correct location at this time. To be honest, I prefer every other restaurant in Barrow over Osaka. But it is convenient to the Top Of The World hotel, the sushi may be expensive but it is good, and as with eve4rything in Barrow... it is an adventure.

When they get busy, they forget to offer what's included on the menu, and never notice when you need a refill.Otherwise, they're very polite.

Family owned business. The owners still run it and are very personable. Excellent service. They were great about accommodating and welcoming our two small children. Despite the small location, they had high chairs and booster seats. The owners are Korean, but they also serve a variety of American food.

We had a great time at Osaka. It was not terribly busy while we were there, and the owner chatted with us while we were eating and cheerfully entertained our children. The food was delicious, and average price for Barrow.

Tasty food, such as Japanese specialties as well as Alaska specialties like omelets with reindeer sausage (yum!). Good prices. Friendly staff.

Japanese and Korean fare. Cozy and intimate. Great lunch specials.

Try the moose knuckle surprise it’s the best you can’t get this surprise anywhere else in the world

Prices are inline with the town. The food is fresh and the service is fast. The only downside is that the dining area is small. Take out however is an option.They are kid friendly and have high chairs for your little ones. The tempura and seaweed dishes are our favorites.
